As our Director of Group Accounting, you will be a vital part of Alektum Group's finance department and lead an amazing team of skilled people located at several of our offices across Europe. Your main objective will be to strengthen our financial reporting and control across the group, working closely with the Group Accounting team and CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Group Accounting team to ensure efficient processes across the group, which spans across 14 countries, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Poland, Germany, and Belgium.
• Ensure effective and accurate financial reporting throughout the group.
• Take ownership of continuous and annual consolidation processes.
• Develop and implement accounting principles (K3) throughout the group.
• Supervise the group's reporting system, Cognos.
• Coordinate the audit process throughout the group.
• Be responsible for transfer pricing and tax issues throughout the group.
• Lead and support the implementation of Microsoft BC and other financial support systems in all group companies.
• Ensure correct accounting and VAT settings in all business systems within the group.
• Ensure interfaces and accounting of client’s assets reporting.
• Drive projects on behalf of the CFO.

Education & Experience:

You have a University degree in Finance and a minimum of five years' relevant experience. You are confident in your area of expertise, and enjoy the possibility to develop both business, processes, and teams. You are a skilled leader and have managed teams of ten, or more people.

Skills & Competencies:

You are an engaged self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced organisation where you must juggle multiple, simultaneous projects and meet tight deadlines, while still paying attention to detail. You like to work in parallel projects and are an experienced project manager, with excellent skills in starting and completing projects in an international environment. You have a solution-driven approach and are a team player with the ability to work collaboratively. You have a proven ability to lead and influence cross-border/ cross-functional teams. You have interest in, and solid understanding of tax, transfer pricing, consolidation as well as a strong K3 accounting knowledge.

You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with professional proficiency in Swedish and English, written and spoken.

The position is based at our Headquarters in Gothenburg, but you need to be able to travel within Europe.
